Quality Decking
We don’t do cheap decking; we only supply quality products at fantastic prices. Don’t be fooled by the big name DIY stores who offer you ‘too good to be true’ deals as we all know they often are. By talking to our technical sales advisors you will gain a greater understanding of what to look for when buying, installing and treating. Whilst timber is a highly durable material it does need care and attention.
Below are a few top tips to keep your decking looking at its best for many years to come:
All deck will benefit from regular brushing with a good stiff brush. Around twice a year it would be a good idea to wash your deck down with a pressure spray.
The purpose of the above is to remove dirt, dead leaves and any slight surface growths. Doing this will help to reduce slipperiness.
Unless it is stained, all timber decks will gradually fade to a grey colour. The preservative used to pressure pre-treat deck timbers and protect them actually slows this process down.
To clean your deck we would recommend that you use one of the specialist timber decking cleaners that we have available.
Regular application of specialist deck finishes will reduce the uptake of moisture and consequent swelling and shrinkage. This will help to prolong its life and looks.
